Tallahassee Drivers

I have had to do a lot of driving back and forth to Tallahassee the past few weeks which has brought me to a conclusion. Tallahassee drivers completely suck!!!! Seriously. Every time I encounter the awesome driving skills of Florida's capital city, I think to myself "self, calm down, this person is an idiot but it is not fair to group all Tallahassee drivers with her" (and yes, I said 'her' for a reason). Well, I was wrong because they are all horrible. I know what you're thinking. "Kristin, you have lived there for over a year now, aren't you technically a Tallahassee driver too?" No. I learned how to drive in south Florida therefore, I am not a Tallahassee driver. And I am by no means claiming to be the best driver in the world. I know my faults. But these people are rediculous!!!! So, to all of you Tallahassee drivers out there, a few pointers:

1. If the speed limit is 55, it is NOT OK to go 32.
2. Those lines on the road? They are to tell you where your car goes. Your car goes between the lines, not the line going down the center of your car.
3. If there is more than one lane going the same direction, it is not ok to drive the exact same speed as the person next to you. Especially when that speed is 10mph below the speed limit.
4. That stick coming out of the left hand side of the steering column? That controls the BLINKER. Use it.
5. The rear view mirror is not there for you to put on your make up or check out what your kids are doing in the back seat.
6. Get off the phone because apparently you can't do multiple things at once.
7. Pick a speed. At this point, I don't even care if it's really slow, just let me get around you. It is not ok to speed up as someone is passing you.
8. When two lanes merge, it is not ok to go real fast to get in front of someone and then slow way down.
9. Quit swerving. I'm not sure what it is you're doing, but wake up, put two hands on the steering wheel and drive.
10. Please, for the love of God, get your kids/dogs out of the back of your truck. The way you drive, you will most definately get in an accident and if you're child is lucky, I will see him in the PICU.

Those are my main ones. Believe me, over the past few weeks, I have said all those and many more. To all you Tallahassee drivers, I hate you all.

Our Skills

Last time Katie came up here, we did these art projects. Don't ask. It's just something that we do. Anyway, I just finally got around to hanging them the other day and I have to say that they look damn good! Good considering that we all are sucky artists! This is mine, hanging above our bed (it's a series...obviously).

And Nicks (his is in the bathroom).

And Katie's (her's is in mom's room).

The phrase "you don't even know our skills" comes to mind. Next time she is here we are having a cake decorating challenge. Get excited.

Halloween...it's a commin'

While I realize that Halloween is another week and a half away, here at the Weaver's we are getting ready full out. We are bringing back our annual Halloween party (we took a year off last year because, well, we didn't have a house...or friends). Now that we are completely moved into the casa, let the partying continue. As for the friends, let's just say that the Tallahassee version of our holiday parties will probably be a lot different than the Davie versions. No worries, it grows with time, right? Anyway, the dogs tried on their costumes (how freaking cute are they?!). In case you can't tell, Daisy is a monkey, Wolfie is a alligator/dragon, Glynniss is a bumble bee and Minnie is a mermaid. They say thank you again to their grandma for buying them the kick ass costumes at Target after Halloween last year. Gotta love a bargin!

We also carved pumpkins last night! It was Nick and my first time carving pumpkins together (how cute). Of course the power tools came out and I think that for not having the appropriate carving utensils, we did a pretty good job! This one was the first one we did (thanks for the inspiration, Megan!). I haven't taken pictures of the other ones yet.

Well that's our Halloween fun of the week. While it's not my favorite holiday, Nick loves it so I hope the party this weekend turns out to be a good one!

Allergic to Work and such

I have observed that every time I go to work I feel sick. I am at work now and since I've been here I have sneezed like, five times and I have a stuffy nose. Gross. This whole past weekend (while I was away from work) and earlier today before I came here, I felt fine. And it's not like I'm just starting to get sick because last week I was complaining about the same thing. Conclusion: I'm allergic to work and I need to go home :)

On another note, Brittany's wedding is this weekend and I'm super excited. We had her bachelorette party (kind of) last weekend. It was entertaining, to say the least! She got some fun new panties and guessed right every time on the person who gave them to her! This week I'm making cones for the flower petals so watch out people I'm working with because you're helping! Nick and I are driving down to Hollywood on Friday after he gets off work. Hopefully, we will be able to make it to some of the rehearsal dinner. We're helping with the flowers on Saturday and then the wedding is Sunday! My mom and I are the people in charge of yelling at people on Sunday so that Brittany doesn't have to so obviously I'm excited about that! I hope it ends up being everything she wants it to be and more!!!!
